Where does the Herpes Zoster virus lie dormant? In the doral root of the spinal ganglia
What interventions do you use for Herpes Zoster? Pain control with analgesics, tranquilizers to help with anxiety, medicated baths and warm compresses to soothe skin, diet with VIT C to promote healing
What complications can a person with Herpes Zoster expect? They can have neuralgia that may last for months
Where can you expect a rash for Herpes Zoster to be? In the thoracic region, can also affect lumbar, cervical or cranial areas.
Is the rash unilateral or bilateral with Herpes Zoster? It is typically unilateral and does not cross the mid-line
What can the pain be described as with Herpes Zoster? A burning, knifelike sensation
Impetigo is usually caused by what bacteria? Staph or Strep
Is Impetigo contagious? Impetigo is highly contagious, caution with gloves should be used when assessing the skin
