Greenhouse Effect | the process in which certain gases in a planet's atmosphere absorb and emit infrared radiation, resulting in an increase in surface temperature |
Ozone | A gas molecule that consists of three oxygen atoms |
Radiation | Energy that travels across distances as certain types of waves |
Convection | The transfer of energy from place to place by the motion of gas or liquid |
Conduction | The transfer of energy from one substance to another by direct contact |
Anemometer | An instrument used to measure the speed of wind |
Wind vane | A device that measures the direction of wind |
Thermometer | An instrument for measuring and indicating temperature |
