What are 3 Examples of non minerals? Water, granite, and coal.
What are 4 types of lusters? Two main types are Metallic and Non-metallic. Some others are pearly, greasy, silky, and waxy.
What are some Examples of non-metallic minerals? Sand, gravel, limestone, clay, and marble.
What is the definition of a Fracture? The manner in which a mineral breaks along an irregular surface.
What is the softest mineral on the Mohs Scale? Talc.
What is the hardest mineral on the Mohs Scale? Diamond.
What is the highest number on the Mohs Scale? 10.
What is a streak? The color of a mineral in powder form.
True or false? Minerals harder than 6.5-7 have a "Colorless streak". True.
True or false? Minerals only exist in one color. False.
Is color a good property to identify minerals? No, crystal structure or the minerals streak is the best way to identify a mineral.
