| What are the causes of hypokalemia? | ALKALOSIS, DIURETIC THERAPY, ENDOCRINE DYSFUNCTION (increased ACTH, thyroid storm), RENAL DYSFUNCTION. |
| What are the clinical signs of hypokalemia? | Many of the same signs as hyperkalemia, GENERAL MALAISE, MUSCLE WEAKNESS. |
| What are the effects of hypokalemia on ECG? | U wave is prominent, depression or flattening of the ST segment, oor inversion of T wave. |
| What is the treatment for hypokalemia? | SLOW IV INFUSION OF POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. |
