Célula eucariota Se dice de las células que poseen un núcleo en el que está contenido su material genético.
Célula procariota Se dice de las células que no poseen un núcleo definido y tienen el material genético disperso en el citoplasma.
Célula Es la unidad morfológica y funcional de todo ser vivo.
Animal carnivoro Animal que se alimenta solo de carne.
Animal herbívoro Animal que se alimenta solo de plantas.
Animal omnívoro Animal que se alimenta de plantas y carne.
Fotosíntesis Proceso que las plantas realizan para fabricar sus propios alimentos a partir de varios elementos que encuentran en su ambiente: luz, del sol, dióxido de carbono y agua que obtiene del suelo o del ambiente.
Reproducción asexual Tipo de reproducción donde solo es necesario un progenitor para crear un organismo descendiente.
Reproducción sexual Reproducción que se realiza a través de la fusión de gametos, que por lo general implica la participación de dos progenitores, un individuo masculino que produce espermatozoides y un individuo femenino.
