| Gas giants | have deep, massive gas atmospheres, which are made up mostly of hydrogen and helium. |
| planetary ring | a disk of material that circles a planet and consists of orbiting particles. |
| Jupiter Facts: | Fifth planet from the sun, largest planet in the solar system, and has the most moons of any planet in the solar system. |
| Galilean moons | the four largest moons of Jupiter. Listed in order from Largest to Smallest they are: Ganymede, Calisto, Io, and Europa. |
| Saturn Facts: | Sixth planet from the sun, second largest gas giant planet, has planetary rings. |
| Enceladus and Titan | Saturn's two largest moons. |
| Uranus Facts: | Seventh planet from the sun, only planet tilted on its side during its orbit around the sun. |
| Miranda | Uranus fifth-largest moon, is turning itself inside out. |
| Neptune Facts: | Eighth planet from the sun, the smallest gas planet. |
| Triton | One of Neptune’s moons, orbits in the opposite direction of the other moons. |
