The Gas Giant Planets Notes

Gas giants have deep, massive gas atmospheres, which are made up mostly of hydrogen and helium.
planetary ring a disk of material that circles a planet and consists of orbiting particles.
Jupiter Facts: Fifth planet from the sun, largest planet in the solar system, and has the most moons of any planet in the solar system.
Galilean moons the four largest moons of Jupiter. Listed in order from Largest to Smallest they are: Ganymede, Calisto, Io, and Europa.
Saturn Facts: Sixth planet from the sun, second largest gas giant planet, has planetary rings.
Enceladus and Titan Saturn's two largest moons.
Uranus Facts: Seventh planet from the sun, only planet tilted on its side during its orbit around the sun.
Miranda Uranus fifth-largest moon, is turning itself inside out.
Neptune Facts: Eighth planet from the sun, the smallest gas planet.
Triton One of Neptune’s moons, orbits in the opposite direction of the other moons.
