| Classify | To arrange or sort objects or living things according to their characteristics. |
| Vertebrates | Animals that have backbones |
| Invertebrates | Animals that DO NOT have backbones. |
| Vascular | Plants with tube like structures. |
| Nonvascular | Plants that pass water and nutrients from cells. |
| Sepal | Leaflike parts that cover and protect the flower bud before the flower opens. |
| Pistil | Extends into the flower and contains the ovary where egg cells are produced. |
| Stamen | Male part of the flower |
| Pollination | The movement of pollen from the stamen to the pistil. |
| Fertilization | The process when the sperm and the egg cell combine. |
| Germinate | To start to grow. |
| Life Cycle | The stages a living thing goes through. |
