Relative Age An age of something in comparison to the age of other things.
Uncomformities Gaps in rock sequences.
Absolute Age The age,in years of a rock or other objects.
Radioactive Decay The process of breaking down.
Half-Life Time it takes for half the atoms of an insotope to decay.
Radiometric dating Process used to calculate the absolute age of rock by measuring the ratio of parent isotope to daughter product in a mineral and knowing the half-life of the parent.
Uniformitarianism A principal stating that Earth process occuring today are similar to those that occured in the past.
