Definition for fossils

Fossils= Remains of once living organisms.
Permineralized remains= Are fossils in which the spaces inside are filled with minerals from groundwater.
Carbon Film= Carbonized remains of graptolites.
Mold= Decay or dissolve,leaving behind a cavity in the rock.
Cast= resembling the original organisms.
Index Fossil= Remains of spiecies that existed on earth for relatively short periods of time.
Principle of Superposition= States that in undisturbed rock layers.
Relative Age= Something is its age in comparison to the ages and other things.
Unconformity= Develop when agents of erosion such as running water or glaciers.
Absolute Age= Age of a rock or other objects.
Radioactive Dating= Process of breaking down.
Half-Life= An isotope to decay to its daughter product.
Radiometric Dating= Calculate the absolute age of a rock.
Uniformitarianism= Used the principle of uniformitarianism.
