| conduction | the transfer of heat from two objects that are touching |
| convection | the transfer of heat within a liquid or gas |
| radiation | the transfer of heat without matter to carry it |
| conductor | a material that allows energy to flow or move through it |
| insulator | a material that stops or slows energy |
| circuit | a path along which electrical charges can flow |
| series circuit | a circuit with one path for charges to follow |
| parallel circuit | a circuit with multiple paths for charges to follow |
| electromagnet | a device that uses electric current to produce magnetism |
