Introduction and vocabulary

digital footprint the information about a particular person that exists on the internet as a result of their online activity.
Cookies Cookies are text files with small pieces of data
GeoLocation the process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet.
MetaData a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.
Data facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
Spreadsheet an electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations.
Browser History Web browsing history refers to the list of web pages a user has visited
Digital Literacy information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information
Blog a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
Dossier a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject.
Derogatory showing a critical or disrespectful attitude.
Social Networking Social networking is the use of Internet-based social media sites to stay connected with friends, family, colleagues, customers, or clients.
Viral of the nature of, caused by, or relating to a virus or viruses.
Profile an outline of something, especially a person's face, as seen from one side.
Privacy Settings Privacy settings are "the part of a social networking website, internet browser, piece of software, etc.
