uterus where fetus develops until birth aka implantation
cervix opening to the uterus
vagina pathway thru which a baby passes during birth & thru which the menstrual flow passes; where the male penis deposists sperm during intercourse
rectum POO comes out
urethra (f) PEE comes out
broad ligament strong, flexible, elastic area around uterus (for when baby in uterus)
bladder PEE storage
pelvic / pubic bone protection
vas deferans connects the epididymis to the urethra (testes -- base of the penis)
urethra (m) passage of PEE and semen
penis male reproductive organ
epidydymis where sperm mature and are stored (made somewhere else and come here to mature)
testes where sperm remain
scrotum holds the testes (sperm needs to remain outside the body to remian at a cooler temp then being within the body)
seminal vesicles gives nutrients to semen (mucus-like, contains fructose = they need energy to swim)
prostate gland adds basic / alkaline fluid to semen so that sperm can live in vagain ( b/c vagina is an acidic place and sperm wouldn't live otherwise); similar to cowper's gland = both lubricate urethra
rectum POOP comes out
cowper's gland secretes alkaline fluid; similar to prostate gland = both lubricate urethra
seminiferous tubules where sperm develops (testes in it)
path of sperm semiferous tubules -- epdidymis -- vas deferans -- urethra -- out into vagina -- cervix -- uterus -- fallopian tube
