Heat The thermal energy transferred between objects that are at different temperatures
Insulator A material that does not allow heat or electrons to move through it easily.
Radiation The transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves
Temperature a measure of the average kinetic energy of the particles in a substance
State of Matter solid, liquid, gas
Conductor A material that allows heat and/or electrons to pass through it.
Equillibrium A state of balance
Particle small portion of matter
Conduction Form of heat transfer where heat energy is directly transferred between molecules through molecular collisions or direct contact.
