3 Matter

Properties of Matter TEK 3.5A,B,C

Celsius A temperature scale that registers the freezing point of water as 0°C and the boiling point as 100°C
Condensation When a gas changes state to a liquid.
Farenheit a temperature scale that registers the freezing point of water as 32°F and the boiling point as 212°F.
States of Matter The form that matter has, such as gas, liquid, or solid.
Water Vapor When water changes state from a liquid to a gas after evaporation.
Cooling To make something less hot.
Evaporation When water is heated and evaporates from a liquid into a gas.
Float To rest or move on or near the surface of a liquid without sinking.
Force A push or pull that causes an object to move, stop or change direction.
Heating To make something more hot.
Magnetism The force of attraction or repulsion some materials have on other materials.
Mass The amount of matter in something.
Matter Anything that has mass and takes up space.
Physical Property A property that can be observed, measured or changed.
Sink To fall to the bottom of a liquid and stay there.
Temperature The degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object.
