TermDefinition
Delta An area of sediment that builds up to form a flat piece of land where a river flows into an ocean or a lake.
Deposition Depositing sediment in a new location (builds new land)
Erosion The movement of weathered material by wind, water, waves or ice.
Glacier A large body of ice moving slowly down a slope or over a wide area of land.
Landform A feature of Earth’s surface.
Sediment Material deposited by water, wind, or ice.
Slow Change The changes happening over a long period of time
Soil The top layer of the earth's surface in which plants can grow, consisting of rock and mineral particles mixed with decayed organic matter and having the capability of retaining water.
Weathering The breaking down of rock into smaller pieces.
