Revising and Editing

TermDefinition
Coherent The logical bridge between words, sentences, and paragraphs. Easy to understand.
Clarity Clear and to the point; easy to understand.
Structured How the information within a written text is organized.
Word Choice The use of rich, colorful, precise language that communicates not just in a functional way, but in a way that moves and enlightens the reader.
Conventions A set of generally accepted standards for written English; Including: spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and sentence structure.
Edit To correct, cut, add to, or change with the goal of producing a finished piece of writing.
