| Chemical Bonds | A connection between two surfaces or objects that's joined together by means of an adhesive substance, heat, or pressure. |
| Cells | Smallest structural and functional unit of an organism. |
| Macromolecules | Combined with other atoms and molecules to form larger and more complex chemicals . |
| Molecules | Combinations of atoms form larger chemical groupings. |
| Organelles | Chemical structure may be organized within larger units. |
| Medial | toward the midline of the body |
| lateral | towards the side of the body , or away from the its midline |
| Superfacial | Near the surface |
| Lumen | The hollow area of any organ |
