| Relative Density | When something is more or less dense than something else. |
| Conductor | A material that allows energy to pass through. |
| Soluble | Can be dissolved. |
| Dissolve | To mix something evenly in a liquid. |
| Electricity | The flow of electrical power or charge through a circuit. |
| Insulator | A material that blocks energy from moving through. |
| Magnetism | The force of attraction or repulsion some materials have on other materials. |
| Mass | The amount of matter in something. |
| Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space. |
| Physical Property | A property that can be observed, measured or changed. |
| State of Matter | The form that matter has, such as gas, liquid, or solid. |
| Substance | Physical matter. |
| Temperature | A measure of how warm something is. |
| Thermal Energy | The energy of the moving particles that make up all matter. |
| Volume | The amount of space in something. |
| Boiling Point | 100 degrees Celsius |
| Freezing-Melting Point | 0 degrees Celsius |
| Density | the concentration of matter in an object; how tightly or loosely packed the atoms are |
