How is pancreatitis presented clinically? | Pain is the universal symptom. Pain in the upper abdomen and radiates through to the back. The pain can be severe and is eased by sitting forward. Vomiting is often present,sometimes accompanied by fever, tachycardia, and hypertension. |
How is pancreatitis diagnosed? | Diagnosis is made by clinical presentation of pain, vomiting, and an elevated level of amylase or lipase, both pancreatic enzymes. |
