Heterozygous An individual having two different alleles of a particular gene.
Allele One of two or more alternative forms of a gene that arise from mutation and are located on the same chomosome.
Gregor Mendel The father of inheritance and hereredity.
Homozygous dominant Two capitol letters.
Phenotype A set of observable characteristics of an individual
Genetics The study of heredity
Gametes Mature haploid that is able to unite with another of the opposite sex during sexual reproduction
Cross-pollination Pollinate with pollen from a different flower
Homozygous recessive two little letters.
Trait A distinguishing quaily
Pollen A fine powdery substance
Egg Also known as a gamete
Gene A unit of heredity that is passed from the parent to the offspring
Genotype The genetic constitution of an individual
