Rock vs. Mineral

crystalline having a repeating, ordered, inside structure
minerals naturally occurring, non-living solids that have a crystalline structure
color the color or range of colors that a mineral usually appears to be
luster the way in which the surface of a mineral reflects light
streak the mark left behind after rubbing a mineral on a hard, rough, white surface
cleavage the way some minerals break along flat planes to form regular shapes
fracture the way minerals can break into random pieces with no regular shape
hardness describes how easily a mineral can be scratched
