TermDefinition
petals colorful structures of a flower that are used to attract pollinators
sepals green petal-like parts at the base of the flower.
stamen male reproductive part of a flower.
anther carry the pollen and are usually yellow in color.
filament thread like structures that hold up the anthers
pistil the female reproductive part of a flower where pollination takes place.
stigma the sticky part at the top of the pistil that “grabs” or traps the pollen.
style the tube-like structure that holds up the stigma.
ovary bottom portion of the pistil that contains ovules
ovule becomes the seed of the fruit
