| petals | colorful structures of a flower that are used to attract pollinators |
| sepals | green petal-like parts at the base of the flower. |
| stamen | male reproductive part of a flower. |
| anther | carry the pollen and are usually yellow in color. |
| filament | thread like structures that hold up the anthers |
| pistil | the female reproductive part of a flower where pollination takes place. |
| stigma | the sticky part at the top of the pistil that “grabs” or traps the pollen. |
| style | the tube-like structure that holds up the stigma. |
| ovary | bottom portion of the pistil that contains ovules |
| ovule | becomes the seed of the fruit |
