What does the Law of Conservation of Energy state? The Law of Conservation states that any amount of energy is neither created or destroyed.
What is an “Energy Transformation”? An Energy transformation is the changing of energy from one type to another.
What is Conduction? The transfer of heat by direct contact when particles collide
What is Convection? The flow of currents in a liquid or gas.
What is Radiation? Heat that transfers through space by electromagnetic waves.
What is Mechanical energy? The total or sum of energy associated with the motion and position of an object. Potential energy + kinetic energy = mechanical energy
What is Electrical energy? It's energy that is made available through the flow of electric current through a conductor.
What is Light/radiant energy? It's energy carried by light and other types of electromagnetic radiation.
What is Chemical energy? It's energy stored in the bonds of chemical compounds that is released during reactions.
What is Elastic energy? It's energy stored in an object when it is compressed or stretched.
What is Nuclear energy? It's energy that's released when atoms split (fission) or join together (fusion).
What is Heat/thermal energy? It's energy of an object due to the kinetic energy of its atoms or molecules.
What is Sound energy? It's energy transferred through a substance (medium) by a longitudinal wave.
What is Gravitational energy? It's the amount of energy of an object due to its high position compared to a low position.
