| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What are the 3 states of matter? | Solid, Liquid, & Gas |
| What makes up matter in the world? | Weight, Volume, & Space |
| Matter in a state of solid form takes what? | Definite shape and volume |
| Matter in a state of liquid form takes what? | No shape, but does have volume |
| Matter in a state of gas form takes what? | No shape, no volume unless it is contained |
| Why can hot or cold temperatures not be considered matter? | They have no volume, space, or weight |
| Hot or cold temperatures are known to change what in matter? | States of matter from solids to liquid to gas |
| Elements can range from 3 types of matters, what are they? | Metals, Nonmetal and Semimetals |
| What are the smallest parts to any elements known as? | Atoms |
| What determines the different elements in the world? | The number of atoms |
| Everything is made of small particles and it is known as what? | Atomic Theory |
| Atoms that connect to other atoms are trying to establish what in an element? | A balance of protons and electrons |
| What are compounds composed of? | Two or more elements that are together as a group |
| What are atoms created of? | Protons, Electrons, & Neutrons |
| What are protons in an atom? | The positive charge part of an atom which are located in the nucleus |
| What are neutrons in an atom? | They have no charge at all and are connected to the protons in the nucleus of an atom |
| What are electrons? | They are the negative charge part of an atom and they are in the outside area of an atom |
| What are all elements trying to establish in their atoms? | A balance to keep them stable |
| What are atoms always trying to do with other atoms? | Connect its unbalance electrons to the outer orbits of other atom electrons |
