TermDefinition
Chlorophyll A green pigment found in the chloroplast of plants, algae, and some bacteria.
Vascular Plants These plants have true vascular tissue.
Xylem This is the vascular tissue in which water and minerals travel in.
Vascular Tissue A system of tubelike structures inside a plant through which water, minerals and food move.
Photosynthesis During this process a plant uses carbon dioxide gas and water to make food and oxygen. ( Please watch your spelling on this question, you will need to spell it out on the test.
Non-vascular These type plants have thin cell walls, and do not have roots for absorbing water from the ground.
Phloem A type of vascular tissue in which food moves
Gymnosperm Known as bare or naked seeds with no fruit covering.
Birds, Bats, Insects, Bees, Flies Name 3 type of pollinators.
Angiosperms Produce seeds that are enclosed by fruits.
