Reporting verbs

Report each sentence using the verb in brackets

QuestionAnswer
I want to see the manager! (demanded) He demanded to see the manager.
Don’t leave the path, there are dangerous snakes. (warned) He warned us not to leave the path because there were dangerous snakes.
I will help you clean up after the party (promised) She promised me to help us clean up after the party.
Don’t forget to feed the turtle. (reminded) She reminded him to feed the turtle.
No, no, no! I’m paying for dinner. (insisted) He insisted on paying for dinner.
Listen everyone! I’m moving to New York next week. (announced) He announced that he was moving to New York the following week.
You should try the fish. (suggested) He suggested trying the fish. / He suggested (that) I (should) try the fish.
I will punch you if you call me that again. (threatened) He threatened to punch me if I called him that again.
I’m really sorry that I broke your favourite cup. (apologised) He apologised for breaking/having broken my favourite cup.
Stand up and put your hands on your head. (ordered) He ordered us to stand up and to put our hands on our head.
