Galaxies

TermDefinition
Galaxies A system with millions and billions of stars.
Universe All existing matter and space all as a whole.
Disk Shaped Galaxy A galaxy made up of a flat area of stars.
Spiral Shaped Galaxy A galaxy made up of twisted gas.
Irregular Shaped Galaxy A galaxy that doesn't have a distinct shape.
Elliptical Shaped Galaxy A Galaxy with smooth features on the outside.
Milky Way The Galaxy which contains Earth ( Spiral Shaped Galaxy)
Light Year A unit of length used to express astronomical distances.
Cluster A Group of similar things all together.
Andromeda Galaxy A Galaxy that is 2.5 million Light years away from Earth. The nearest major Galaxy to the Milky Way.
