Big Bang Theory The theory that the universe had a sudden expansion
Visible Light Spectrum It is the spectrum of which a human eye can view or see
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMB) A faint glow of light that fills the universe

Red shift-Blue shift It is how light shifts farther or closer to objects in space
Spectrograph It is an instrument to measure and separate phenomenons

Galaxy An area of the universe is called a galaxy. Galaxy s usually contain types of planets.

Electro-magnetic Spectrum The tool to measure how far away light is (it's a scale)

Fred Hoyle He's the astronomer who though of the "Big Bang Theory"
Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson They were the ones who found out about the cosmic microwave background radition.
Life Cycle of a Star Life cycle of a star of how old it is and how you can tell how old it is,.
Interstellar Medium Area of gas and dust mostly made out of Hydrogen.
Nebula "Nursery of stars". Collects gas and dust to form stars.
Protostar First state of a star. When gas and dust start sticking together.
Equilibrium When gas pressure and gravity are equal this forms.
Star When the temp. of a protostar reaches the temperature it needs to, it becomes a star.
Main Sequence The time or places most stars stay most of their lives.
Red Giant Not as heavy as most stars and cool.
Planetary Nebula Happens at the end of a red giant's life.
White Dwarf What happens to a star at the end of its life cycle.
Black Dwarf Never seen before star. Last step on the life cycle. Penetrates no heat or gravity pull.
Red Super Giants Giant low mass star more than 100 times bigger than our sun.
Supernova What happens when black or white dwarf runs out of gases and explodes.
Neutron Star After the supernova happens it's just the core left and has more than 1 billion more gravity than on earth.
Black Hole Nothing can get out of a black hole not even light.
(H-R) Hertzsprung–Russell diagram A diagram showing how each star has a different heat and look to it.
Luminosity It's what measures the amount of light coming off and object.
Brightness It shows that light is coming off and object.
Absolute Magnitude It's the amount of Luminosity coming off and object.
