What is a volcano? It is a mountain that opens downward into a pool of molten lava below Earth's surface.
Seismograph measures the strength and compares it to the Richter scale
Where are earthquakes most likely to occur? Near the Ring of Fire but they can happen anywhere
When do earthquakes happen? The tectonic plates slip past one another near fault lines and create shaking of the earth's surface
