species a group of organisms that are very closely related
genus a group of similar species
domain represents the largest differences among organisms
Domain Bacteria contains all organisms within Kingdom Bariacte
Domain Archaea includes all organisms in Kingdom Archaea
Domain Eukarya made up of all eukaryotes
Autotrophs organisms that make their own food
Heterotrophs must eat other organisms for food
Taxonomy the science of describing, classifying, and naming living things
Members of the Kingdom Protista, called protists single celled or multicellular organisms such as algae and slime molds
Kingdom Plantae consists of multicellular organisms that have cell walls, mostly made of cellulose
Kingdom Fungi are heterotrophs, and their cell walls contain chitin
Kingdom Animalia contains multicellular organisms that lack cell walls
