| landform | a physical structure that occurs naturally on Earth |
| model | a picture, idea or object that represents an object that helps us understand it better but has limitations |
| prehistoric | time before recorded history |
| weathering | process by which rock is broken down by water, wind, or ice |
| atmosphere | the air that surrounds Earth |
| axis | the imaginary line that an object rotates such as Earth |
| equator | the imaginary line that divides Earth into the northern and southern hemispheres |
| orbit | the path that an object follows as it revolves around another object |
| Prime Meridian | the imaginary longitudinal line which all other lines are measured |
