All About Gravity

QuestionAnswer
Gravity The force that pulls objects toward each other.
Force A push or pull on an object.
Weight A measure of the gravitational force exerted on an object.
Gravitational Force An attractive force between any two objects that depends on the masses of the objects and the distance between them.
Mass A measure of the amount of matter in an object
Sun Strongest gravitational pull in the solar system
Gravitational Resistance The force acts in the opposite direction to an object moving through the air.
Acceleration The measurement of change in an object's velocity.
Orbit The path of an object around a particular point in space.
High Tide The point in the tidal cycle where the sea level is at its highest.
Low Tide The point in the tidal cycle where the sea level is at its lowest.
meteor A meteor is a space rock that hits the atmosphere of the Earth.
meteorite Small chunks of rock that travel through space.
