Astronomy The study of objects and systems in space
Astronomer Someone who studies our universe and objects found within it such as stars, planets, and galaxies
Star A huge, bright ball of burning gas that is held together by gravity
Planet A large object in space that revolves around a star, like our Sun, and shines by reflected light
Constellation A group of stars that form a pattern when viewed from Earth
Axis An imaginary line through the center of an object
Moonb Phase Shapes of the moon as it changes location
Rotation The spinning motion of an object on its axis ( Earth rotating on its axis)
Revolution The motion of an object around another object .
Shadow A dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface
