Let's learn new words to describe types of nature.

TermDefinition
cave a large underground chamber, typically of natural origin, in a hillside or cliff
volcano a mountain or hill with a crater that erupts lava and hot vapor
cliff a steep rock face, especially at the edge of the sea or ocean
mountain a large natural elevation of the earth's surface rising abruptly from the surrounding level
ocean a vast expansion of saltwater divided into five sections
river a very long natural stream of water that goes into the sea
hill an area of land that is slightly raised
forest an area with lush trees and vegetation
valley an area of low land between mountains or hills
island an area of land that is surrounded by water
desert a dry, arid area with little vegetation
beach a pebbly or sandy shore, especially by the ocean between high- and low-water marks
