Drama

| scene | smaller sections of a play that occurs at one place and time |
| act | the main sections of a play |
| playwright | a person who writes plays |
| props | small items used by actors |
| dialogue | characters’ spoken words |
| set | large items that represent the location of the play |
| script | the entire written text of a play |
| stage directions | tells the actors what to do or describes the setting (unspoken words usually in parenthesis) |
| present tense | refers to action that is happening now |
| past tense | shows action that has already occurred |
| fer | bear/carry |

| fiercely | expressed with extreme force or anger; intensely |
| urge | to ask for or support earnestly; to try to persuade |
| sarcastically | tone of voice or remarks made usually to hurt someone’s feelings or show scorn |

| geology | the scientific study of the origin and structure of the earth |
