Electricity/Sound

Vocabulary for electricity and sound.Made in 4th grade.

TermDefinition
Sound Energy Energy caused by vibrations.
Pitch The highness or lowness of a sound.
Volume The loudness or softness of a sound.
Electrical Energy Energy caused by electrically charged particles.
Electrical Current The flow of electricity.
Conductor A material that electrical current CAN pass through example: metal, gold, copper, iron, silver.
Insulator A material that electric current CANNOT pass through example: plastic, glass, rubber, wood.
Circuit A path that an electrical current follows-must be CLOSED and COMPLETE.
Role of Wire Is the pathway or the "road" for the electricity to travel
