| luster | describes how a mineral's surface looks when light reflects from it |
| erosion | the movement of rocks that have been broken down by weathering |
| weathering | caused by many things such as wind, water, ice, and plant roots |
| metamorphic rock | rock that has been changed by high heat and great pressure |
| rock | material made up of one or more minerals |
