| metadata | a set of data that describes and gives information about other data. |
| Data | is information processed or stored by a computer. |
| spreadsheet | computer program used for accounting and recording data using rows and columns into which information can be entered. |
| browser history | list of web pages a user has visited, as well as associated data such as page title and time of visit. |
| digital literacy | the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills. |
| blog | is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries |
| dossier | a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject. |
| derogatory | showing a critical or disrespectful attitude. |
| social networking | the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself. |
| viral | an image or a video has become incredibly popular in just a matter of hours or days by being shared from thousands (sometimes even millions) of people on social media. |
| profile | visual display of personal data associated with a specific user, or a customized desktop environment. |
| privacy settings | are controls available on many social networking and other websites that allow users to limit who can access your profile and what information visitors can see. |
