Weathering The breaking down of rocks into sediment
Erosion The carrying away of sediments
Deposition The depositing of sediments into a new place
Compaction The squeezing together of sediments from layers upon layers of rock
Cementation When minerals melt from the heat in the Earth and make all the sediment stick together like glue
Parallel Circuit A circuit that has multiple pathways for the electricity to follow. If one bulb goes out, the others can stay on.
Series Circuit A circuit that has one pathway for the electricity to follow. If one bulb goes out, all the others will go out too.
Observation Noticing something about the world around you
Inferring Using clues to find an answer
ROYGBIV The colors of the rainbow
Weight The measurement of the pull of gravity on an object
Strainer Separates bigger objects from smaller objects of liquids
