Water plants get this from rain, animals get this from lakes, puddles or stream or from the food they eat
Air plants take in carbon dioxide, animals breathe in this or take it in through their gills in water.

Hibernation when an animal's body slows because of a change in their environment. Heart rate and breathing rate slow down so the animal can survive with less food and oxygen.
Natural Selection the process by which organisms with favorable traits are more likely to survive and produce offspring. Survival of the fittest.
Instinct a behavior that an animal begins life with Example: sucking, crying, hibernation, migration
Learned behavior a behavior that you do not begin life with. Example: hunting, writing, playing sports
