| Absorption | The process or action by witch one thing absorbs or is absorbed by another. |
| Conduction | The transfer of heat from one substance to another by direct contact of particles of matter. |
| Convention | The transfer of heat movement of a fluid |
| Electromagnetic wave | A form of energy that can travel through space. |
| Energy transformation | A change from one form energy to another |
| Green house effect | The process by which heat is trapped in the atmosphere by watervaper, carbon dioxide, methane, and other gases that form a blanket around earth. |
| Heat | The energy transferred from a warmer object to a cooler object. |
| Infrared rotation | A form of energy with wavelengths that we are larger than visible light. |
| Botation | The direct transfer of energy through empty space by electromagnetic waves |
| Reflection | The throwing back by a surface of light, heat, and sound without absorbing it. |
| Scattering | Reflection or light in all directions. |

| Thermal energy | The energy or motion in the molecules of a substance |
