Film Music - Yr10

QuestionAnswer
Mood [Atmosphere] The music represents the mood of many characters in scenes with wide angles and multiple characters present.
Pace The tempo of the music matches and reinforces the speed of the action taking place in the scene.
Foreshadowing The music is very tense through the use of repetition, dissonance , crescendo and sforzando. It stops abruptly
Character Emotion The music reinforces the feelings of a character who is the focus in the scene.
Action The music is timed to the events in the scene, such as punches and kicks.
Sense of Location Music from the country or region film is being shot is used in the scene.
Leitmotif A short, distinct and repeated melody that represents a character, object or theme in film.
