The Water Cycle
| Term | Definition |

| cycle | a set of events that repeats over and over |
| clouds | groups of tiny water drops or pieces of ice that hang in the air |
| evaporates | turns from a liquid to a vapor, or gas. (This process is called evaporation.) |
| water cycle | the pattern of water moving between the air and the ground |
| seeps | drips down slowly |
| spring | a place where underground water flows to the surface of Earth |
| runoff | water that moves over the top of ground |
| vapor | a gas, such as air |
| boils | heats to a high temperature (When water boils, it changes into water vapor.) |
| humidity | a measure of the amount of water in the air |
| condensation | the process of turning from a vapor, or gas, to a liquid |
