Phenomenon An observable event that can be explained using scientific facts. It causes us to wonder.
Observation Statement of fact discovered using the 5 senses.
Evidence Body of facts that help prove a belief or suggestion.
Qualitative Observation a statement of fact not involving numbers.
Quantitative Observation a statement of fact involving numbers.
Inference an educated guess based in evidence
Claim the correct answer to a question supported by evidence
Independent Variable what I change if I am the experimenter
Dependent Variable what I measure in the end of my experimenter
Constants all of the factors you have to keep the same in order to have a valid experiment
Model Constructions that explain patterns, predict outcomes, and activate more questioning.
