Week 1-6 Physiology

TermDefinition
triglycerides most abundant lipids, they function as the body's most concentrated source of energy.

nervous tissue most complex tissue in the body. specializes in communication among the various parts of the body and in integration of their activities.
appendicular skeleton consist of 126 bones more than half again as many as in the axial skeleton. Bones of the appendicular skeleton form the appendages to the axial skeleton, shoulder girdles, arms, forearms, wrist, and hands
sutures found only in the skull. in most sutures, teeth like projections jut out from adjacent bones and interlock with each other with only a thin layer of fibrous tissue between them.
