| triglycerides | most abundant lipids, they function as the body's most concentrated source of energy. |
| Diffusion | a natural phenomenon caused by tendency of small particles to spread out evenly within any given space. |
| endocytosis | plasma membrane traps some extracellular material and brings it into the cell. |
| phagocytosis | microorganisms or large particles are engulfed by the plasma membrane and enter the cell in vesicles may mature to form various types of vesicular organelles such as lysosomes. |
| DNA | Molecule is a giant among molecules. its size and the complexity of its shape exceed those of most molecules. |
| Telophase | is the end phase or completion phase, of mitosis. it is during this phase that the dna is returned to its original form and location within the cell. |
| epithelial tissue | covers and protects the body surface, lines body cavities, specialize in moving substances into and out of the body or particular organs, and forms many glands. |
| nervous tissue | most complex tissue in the body. specializes in communication among the various parts of the body and in integration of their activities. |
| appendicular skeleton | consist of 126 bones more than half again as many as in the axial skeleton. Bones of the appendicular skeleton form the appendages to the axial skeleton, shoulder girdles, arms, forearms, wrist, and hands |
