| Term | Definition |

| rotate | Located in the Modify ribbon. Highlighted lines or objects are selected at a basepoint which would allow the user to change the angle or degree of the selected items. |
| radius dimension | Located in the Annotation ribbon, this command is used to display the size of a circle or an arc. |
| polar array | Located in the Modify ribbon, the user selects an object and a base point to allow the selected objects and/or line segments to be copied around the center axis, you would enter how many items you wish to array after selecting the base point. |
| move | Located in the Modify ribbon. Highlighted lines or objects are selected at a basepoint and can be dragged across the drawing and placed at a desired location |
| copy | Located in the Modify ribbon, allows you to select and replicate line segments or objects and place them repeatedly. |
| erase | Located in the Modify ribbon, this command allows the user to remove objects or lines from the drawing. |
| line | One of the most basic commands in AutoCAD, located in the Draw ribbon, allows the user to select a start point and an end point within the drawing and create one singular segment of a drawing. |
| ortho mode | Located in the lower right of screen (Model ribbon). When turned on, the user limits the cursor to vertical and horizontal movements on the drawing to ensure line segments are completely straight. |
| trim | Located in the Modify ribbon, allows the user to select the cutting edges on multiple lines, so the user can eliminate excess lines in a desired selected area. |
| hatch | Under the Draw ribbon, this command fills in a highlighted section of a drawing with a selected pattern or color |
