Mass movement

stream A stream is a body of water with surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel.
tributary is a freshwater stream that feeds into a larger stream or river
flood pain lat land area adjacent to a stream, composed of unconsolidated sedimentary deposits
meander s one of a series of regular sinuous curves, bends, loops, turns, or windings in the channel of a river, stream, or other watercourse.
oxbow lake is a meander that has been cut off from the river. a oxbow lake lake may form when a river floods
delta Deltas can be of various shapes . Some are arc-shaped others are triangle shapes
alluvial fan is a wide sloping deposit of sediment is formed where a stream leaves a mountain range .
ground water is the term geologists us for the underground water. Like running water on the on the surface.
