Music quiz

TermDefinition
Pitch The degree of highness or lowness of a tone
Duration (Rhythm) Length of time a note lasts for
Dynamics Express how loud or quiet the music should be played ( also known as the volume).
Tempo The speed at which the beat or steady pulse of the music occurs. The tempo is where you would most likely tap your foot, bang your head, or dance.
Timbre Characteristic quality of a sound ( not counting pith and loudness) which make it unique.
Texture How the melody, rhythm and harmony are combined to create the overall quality of a piece of music.
Form/structure The arrangement of phrases a piece of music.
