What are sunspots? Violent storms on the sun
What are the moons phases? New Moon, Waxing Crecent, 1st Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, and Waning Crecent
How long does the moon take to complete its phases? 28-29 days.
What causes seasons? The tilt of the Earth's axis
What causes day and night? The rotation of the Earth.
What causes years? The revolution of the Earth
How many days are in a year? 365
What is Ptolemy famous for? For thinking that the Earth is the center of the universe
What is Galileo famous for? For realizing that the Earth might revolve around the sun and the moon around the Earth
What is a solar eclipse? It is when the moon gets between the sun and Earth and blocks out all the sunlight in one spot
What is a lunar eclipse? It is when the Earth blocks out all the sunlight on the moon's suface
What are Ultra Violet Rays? They are rays from the sun that can damage your eyes and skin
What is Copernicus famous for? Discovering that the sun was the center of the Galaxy
