Menopause permanent cessation of menses for a 12-month period
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) a condition of excess androgen production from the ovaries
Perimenopause gradual transition between normal reproductive cycles and menopause; also known as climacteric
Phytoestrogen nonsteroidal estrogens found in high concentrations in soy products; also known as insoflavones
Spermatogonia a primitive sperm cell
